Frequently Asked Questions

  1. When should I reserve my session?

Any time you’re ready! It’s never too soon to reserve your spot, but I would say most clients try to reserve sessions anywhere from 3-12 months in advance. I do take a limited amount of sessions per month so that I am able to serve my clients well with reschedules due to weather, illness, etc. so oftentimes there could be more last minute openings available.

3. Do your sessions include wardrobe?

Absolutely! The studio closet has over 100 dresses for mamas and a wide range of clothing 0-8 years old for children, and shirts for dads.  The majority of clothing that you in my portfolio has been borrowed from the Studio Wardrobe.  Clients are able to try on and choose clothing before their session, or at a clothing appointment prior to their session date.

6. Are digital files included? Can we have digital files?

All artwork and images are purchased AFTER seeing your final photos, so you can see your photos and choose what works best for your family! You absolutely could choose digital files, albums, and framed fine art prints…or any combination of those items!

2. When should I have my maternity and newborn session?

Maternity sessions are best scheduled anytime between 28-32 weeks to be sure you’re feeling great and can show off your bump, but I have also fit in mamas who decided past 32 weeks that they wanted to have maternity portraits. It’s never too late until you’re in labor! Newborn sessions are generally anywhere from 1-3 weeks old, but because I am focused on baby led posing, and family portraits, I have also done 4, 6, and 8 week old ‘newborn’ sessions. Regardless of their age, we will make beautiful portraits for your family.

4. Do you offer hair and makeup?

Yes! Most of my clients choose to have hair and makeup done at the studio, which I can coordinate. This includes full hair and makeup for mamas and anything little girls might need, along with some help for dads if they’d like. These fees are paid directly to each hair and makeup artist.

5. I don’t know of any good locations – where does our session take place?

I’ve got you! My studio in downtown Franklin is the perfect, simple place for indoor maternity sessions, newborn, and baby sessions with everything you need right there.

Just down the block we can also have family sessions and outdoor maternity sessions.

Interested in having your session in your home? This is a great option for my clients who are really excited to show off their natural light, neutral colored homes and nurseries and be able to include your fur babies.
